TalentTuner Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction and Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use TalentTuner's resume optimization platform and related services. This policy is designed to protect our users, maintain the integrity of our systems, and ensure a positive experience for everyone. This AUP forms part of our Terms of Service and all defined terms in the Terms of Service apply to this policy.
TalentTuner is a resume optimization tool that helps job seekers improve their resume's performance in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) through AI-powered analysis. As an unincorporated platform operated by an individual owner, we rely on responsible usage by our community to maintain service quality and availability.
2. Usage Limitations and Fair Use
2.1 Tiered Access Limitations
TalentTuner's service tiers come with specific usage limitations that must be respected:
Guest Access: - Limited to one (1) full resume analysis without registration - Analysis results are stored temporarily and associated with your browser's local storage - Creating multiple guest sessions to bypass this limitation is prohibited
Free Registered Users: - Limited to five (5) limited-access analyses per calendar month - Limited report access showing only critical elements (as defined in our feature gating system) - Attempting to access premium-only features through technical manipulation is prohibited
Premium Subscribers: - Limited to thirty (30) full analyses per calendar month - Full access to all platform features within these usage limits - For personal use only; sharing access credentials is prohibited
2.2 Concurrent Sessions
Users are permitted to access TalentTuner from multiple devices, but our system is designed for individual use: - Simultaneous sharing of accounts is prohibited - Automated scripts accessing your account from multiple locations may trigger security measures - Unusual access patterns may result in temporary account restrictions pending verification
2.3 Resource Usage
To ensure consistent service quality for all users, we implement reasonable limitations on: - File sizes for resume uploads (maximum 10MB per file) - Processing time for complex documents - API request frequencies (for future API implementations) - Bandwidth consumption
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited when using TalentTuner:
3.1 Technical Abuse
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract our source code
- Bypassing, disabling, or interfering with security features
- Scanning or testing for vulnerabilities without explicit permission
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Introducing malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Interfering with or disrupting the integrity of our services
- Using automation tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers without permission
- Manipulating identifiers to disguise your identity or the origin of your activities
3.2 Content Restrictions
You must not upload, submit, or process through TalentTuner: - False, fraudulent, or misleading resumes or job descriptions - Content that infringes intellectual property rights of others - Content containing malicious code or files designed to damage our systems - Personal information of third parties without their explicit consent - Content that violates any applicable law or regulation - Content that contains hate speech, discriminatory language, or offensive material - Excessive amounts of non-resume content to test system boundaries
3.3 Account Manipulation
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limitations
- Selling, transferring, or sharing your account credentials
- Using another person's account without permission
- Creating accounts for the primary purpose of reserving usernames
- Using temporary or disposable email addresses to create multiple accounts
- Attempting to manipulate our tier system to gain premium features without payment
3.4 Service Interference
- Attempting to overload our servers or infrastructure
- Conducting denial of service attacks
- Repeatedly submitting identical content for analysis
- Attempting to access administrative features or restricted areas
- Interfering with other users' ability to use the service
- Actions that impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
4. Acceptable Resume and Job Description Content
4.1 Resume Content Guidelines
Resumes uploaded to TalentTuner should: - Contain factual information about your own professional background - Be in standard resume formats (PDF, DOCX, TXT, etc.) - Comply with general professional standards - Be free from malicious content, macros, or embedded code - Not contain sensitive personal information beyond what's typical in resumes (e.g., no social security numbers, financial details, etc.)
4.2 Job Description Guidelines
Job descriptions submitted for analysis should: - Be actual job postings you're interested in applying for - Be in plain text format or standard document formats - Not contain proprietary or confidential employer information - Not include internal hiring links, application portals, or private application instructions
5. Feature-Specific Usage Rules
5.1 ATS Match Score Analysis
- The match score algorithm is provided for informational purposes only
- Attempting to reverse-engineer our scoring methodology is prohibited
- Creating multiple similar submissions to "game" the algorithm is discouraged
5.2 Keyword Analysis
- Keyword extraction is intended for legitimate resume improvement
- Systematic collection of keyword data across industries for purposes other than personal resume enhancement is prohibited
5.3 PDF Export Feature (Premium)
- PDF exports are for personal use only
- Mass generation of reports for purposes other than your own job applications is prohibited
- Sharing, selling, or distributing reports commercially is not permitted
6. Monitoring and Enforcement
6.1 Monitoring Approaches
TalentTuner implements reasonable monitoring systems to ensure platform integrity, including: - Automated systems to detect unusual usage patterns - Review of reported violations - Regular audits of platform usage - Traffic analysis to identify potential abuse
We respect user privacy and do not proactively review the content of your resumes or job descriptions except: - When investigating potential violations - When required by law - When necessary to protect our systems or users - To improve our AI algorithms (using anonymized data)
6.2 Enforcement Actions
Violations of this AUP may result in the following actions, applied at our sole discretion:
Minor Violations: - Warning notification - Temporary feature restrictions - Reduced usage limits
Serious or Repeated Violations: - Suspension of account access - Termination of your account - Permanent ban from the platform - Refusal of future service
Legal Violations: - Report to appropriate legal authorities - Cooperation with investigations - Legal action where appropriate
6.3 Appeals Process
